Home and Community Care (HACC)

Home and Community Care (HACC) provides a range of practical services help to people to remain independent in their home. The program aims to promote independence and avoid premature entry into long-term residential care. HACC is a joint Commonwealth, State and Territory initiative. Services may include:

  • nursing
  • personal care
  • social support
  • transport
  • domestic assistance
  • respite care.
