Churches of Christ Care Fair Haven Aged Care Service Hervey Bay rests on 40 acres in a peaceful semi-rural part of Hervey Bay. This is the perfect location for those seniors wishing to escape the hassles of a busy suburban life, yet still maintain easy access to local community activities. The facility caters for 78 low and high care residents. Residents and their family or friends can enjoy the cool breezes and birdlife while sitting around the prominent water feature, which is encircled by walking platforms and gazebos.

Nursing home and hostel

The facility offers four 11-bed houses, each with their own lounge, dining room and full kitchen. These airconditioned homes provide a comfortable environment for residents and their visitors. More recently in 2009, one low care 17-bed house and one 17-bed high care house were erected, each with their own lounge room and common dining room.

Residents have their own private rooms with ensuite facilities. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, curtains, ceiling fans, wall heaters and 24-hour emergency response systems (located both in the bedroom and ensuite). Points are provided for small appliances, television aerials and telephone. Residents can furnish their own rooms to their own taste. The warm and cosy home environment throughout adds a special touch of comfort. A formal lounge and dining area is available to residents and can be used for family gatherings such as birthday or anniversary celebrations. Our airconditioned activities hall regularly houses concerts, indoor games and various activities to entertain residents.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks, if extra assistance is needed our staff are available to help with showering, personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.

Our qualified and dedicated community aged staff offer personalised care to enable clients to stay in their own home for as long as possible to maintain independences and quality of life.
