Churches of Christ Care Fassifern Aged Care Service Boonah

Located on the eastern side of the town of Boonah, Churches of Christ Care Fassifern Aged Care Service Boonah is situated at the foot of the southern border ranges in spacious Henry Moller Park. Residential care services are provided in four 10-bed hostels. High care services are also provided to 41 residents in the nursing home facility, including one respite bed. There are plenty of places to sit out on the wide verandas and time to read a good book, or just enjoy the view across the distant hills as the sun sets.

Hostel

The hostel provides accommodation for 41 residents in four houses. Each house is designed to promote a homelike environment where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence. The houses provide residents with the privacy of individual rooms which are all ensuited. Residents are encouraged to individualise their rooms with their personal belongings. Houses are climate controlled for residents’ comfort. The ambience of a homelike environment is enhanced with wood burning heaters in each family room. Each house has a home style kitchen where all meals are prepared and then served in the spacious family rooms. The lounge room, private dining room and sunroom provide ample provision for residents to maintain their contact with family and friends in private surroundings.

Nursing home

The nursing home, with beds for 40 residents, is designed on two levels. The downstairs area has single rooms with a shared bathroom, while the secured upstairs section has shared bedrooms with separate bathrooms. The home is climate controlled for residents’ comfort. The courtyard, gazebo and spacious patios provide residents and families with privacy and comfort.

Retirees are offered accommodation on site also at Fassifern Village and can receive community aged care services through the Churches of Christ Care Community Care Program West Moreton also on site.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks, if extra assistance is needed our staff are able to help with personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, rehabilitation, communication and socialisation support.

Fassifern Aged Care Services is co-located with Fassifern Village, Boonah one of our 17 retirement villages located in popular Queensland and Melbourne retirement locations.
