Churches of Christ Care Golden Age Aged Care Service Southport

Strolling through the spacious grounds and enjoying the sea breezes is simply part of living at Churches of Christ Care Golden Age Aged Care Service Southport on the Gold Coast. There is room to welcome 100 residents with both high and low care needs. Community aged care packages and retirement village units are also on site.

Hostel

The 56-bed hostel, including 8 secure dementia and 2 respite beds, is tastefully furnished with comfortable lounge and dining areas. To make them feel at home, each resident can furnish their own bedrooms to their own taste. These private rooms have their own ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and emergency call system. Some rooms have external balconies and built-in wardrobes. Plugs are provided for small appliances, telephone and UHF television aerials.

Nursing home

Every effort has been made to create a homelike environment for the 44 residents in our facility. There are several attractive lounge areas and pleasant outdoor living spaces. A heater, ceiling fan, television point and power point are provided for each resident. All residents have access to the nurse call system. Residents are encouraged to make their room personal by bringing with them pictures and other personal effects.

Personal care services

Although registered nurses and personal care staff offer 24-hour assistance to residents with every aspect of their daily needs, we embrace the philosophy that residents should maintain as much independence as possible.

In addition to residential aged care, there are also 51 retirement village units on site. People with appropriate assessment from the Aged Care Assessment Team are also able to access our range of community aged care services to support their continued independence.

Community aged care

Our qualified and dedicated community aged staff offer personalised care to enable clients to stay in their own home for as long as possible to maintain independences and quality of life. Retirement living

Golden Age Aged Care Service is co-located with Golden Age Village, Southport, one of our 17 retirement villages located in popular retirement locations throughout Queensland and Melbourne.
