Churches of Christ Care Homesteads Aged Care Service Nerang

On the hillside overlooking the Gold Coast hinterland, Churches of Christ Care Homesteads Aged Care Service Nerang gives the feeling of country living, but with all the modern conveniences. Homesteads is set among beautiful grounds and gardens close to the heart of Nerang. Staff at Homesteads offer high and low care in a homelike setting for people who are elderly and/or have a disability.

Nursing home and hostel

Forty-one residents with high and low care needs enjoy living in the four ‘house model’ homes at Homesteads Aged Care Services, with 27 high care, 14 low care, one respite and 10 secure dementia beds. The homes are tastefully furnished with comfortable lounges in the family and dining areas. Residents are welcome to furnish their bedrooms if they wish. These rooms have their own ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and an emergency call system. Plugs are provided for small appliances, telephones and UHF television aerials.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks, if extra assistance is needed our staff are able to help with personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, short term illness, rehabilitation, communication and socialisation support.

Community aged care

Our qualified and dedicated community aged staff offer personalised care to enable clients to stay in their own home for as long as possible to maintain independences and quality of life. Retirement living

We have retirement living options on the Gold Coast. Churches of Christ Care Golden Age Aged Care Service is co-located with Golden Age Village, Southport, one of our 17 retirement villages located in popular retirement locations throughout Queensland and Melbourne.
