Residents can relax in friendly and welcoming surrounds at Churches of Christ Care Moonah Park Aged Care Service Mitchelton with low care, high care as well as community aged care and retirement village units all on the same site. Located in the convenient Brisbane suburb of Mitchelton, the facility is close to Brookside Shopping Centre, public transport and local parks. We also have retirement living on-site with Churches of Christ Care Moonah Park Village, Mitchelton.

Nursing home and hostel

A newly constructed two-storey building provides both high and low care for 61 permanent and respite residents. Residents have their own room with ensuite facilities, emergency call system and built-in wardrobes, and the building has reverse cycle air conditioning throughout.

Also three house-model homes provide accommodation for residents with dementia with spacious bedrooms and private ensuite facilities. Once renovations have been completed, 37 residents will be able to receive specialised care in a secure environment.

Moonah Park has beautiful lawns and gardens and a gazebo to relax in, as well as a playground for visiting children. A large community hall is used regularly for events and activities on the varied lifestyle program.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks if extra assistance is needed our staff are able to help with showering, personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.

Retirement living

Moonah Park Village, Mitchelton is co-located with Moonah Park Aged Care Service, offering city fringe retirement living. The re-development at Moonah Park Village is part of a master plan for the entire Mitchelton site. The concepts for the site incorporate the development of 14 brand new retirement village apartments, as well as a housing development for over 55s.
